Committee for Justice identified the detainees as Aboubacar Soumaré, Moussa “Abba” Djiré and Ibrahima Taméga. It says they appeared before Bamako’s specialised cybercrime judicial unit on 20 October, following months of detention, and were then transferred to the central prison. Its statement describes reports of significant physical deterioration and requests independent medical examinations.

The organisation says Soumaré and Djiré were initially abducted by masked individuals described as State Security personnel, while Taméga was arrested in May. It is seeking clarification of the charges, access to case files and investigation of their earlier detention.

Separately, Amnesty International says the whereabouts of lawyer and political figure Mountaga Tall, abducted on 3 May, and his son Cheick Mamadou Tall, missing since 16 May, remain unknown. Neither has officially been charged or brought before a court, according to Amnesty’s six-month update.
