An ANP inspection of several Niamey service stations on 23 October found an improvement in petrol availability. Customers said they were being served without the lengthy queues seen earlier, while a station manager reported overnight deliveries of between 5,000 and 10,000 litres, depending on the outlet.

The recovery is not uniform. An employee at Oriba’s Route Wallam 1 station said its delivery had sold out between 06:00 and 11:00, leaving customers dependent on another overnight replenishment. The report therefore supports improving access in the capital, rather than an uninterrupted supply at every outlet or a nationwide resolution.

Separately, newly published decisions from Nioro du Sahel in Mali set station opening hours at 07:00–17:00. Local authorities and fuel-sector representatives also recommended twice-monthly replenishment and stronger action against smuggling following their 22 October meeting.
