Mali has launched a new round of recruitment for 1,122 state civil-service positions as part of the 2026 budget exercise. Applications opened on 14 October 2026 and will be accepted until 13 November 2026 at 16:00. Candidates can submit their dossiers at the National Center for Civil Service Competitions (CNCFP) in Bamako or at the offices of regional governors in Kayes, Sikasso, Ségou, Mopti, Tombouctou, Gao, and Koutiala. Written exams are scheduled to take place from 9 to 24 January 2027 in Bamako and selected regional centers.

The available positions span categories A, B2, B1, and C, covering nearly all sectors of the public administration. This year’s recruitment marks an increase from the previous session, which offered 824 posts. The ministry has said that the 150 posts left unfilled in the previous session—due to either a lack of qualifying candidates or no applicants—were to be added to the 2026 quota.

The previous year’s competition saw 43,104 candidates vying for 824 posts. Of these, 674 were admitted, while 94 posts remained vacant due to insufficient qualifying candidates and 56 posts received no applications at all. These figures highlight the high demand for public-sector jobs and the competitive nature of the selection process.

Applicants are advised to ensure that their documents and qualifications match the requirements for each post. The services receiving applications have reported recurring problems related to diploma specialities, birth dates, and discrepancies between first names on administrative documents. The ministry urges candidates to verify that their diplomas correspond to the targeted job category and that all personal information is consistent across documents.

The official notice for the competition contains the precise eligibility conditions and required documents. The CNCFP also emphasizes its commitment to combating fraud, noting that three fake diplomas were detected during the previous session. Candidates can consult the CNCFP portal for official information, application procedures, and results. As the application deadline approaches, candidates are encouraged to respect administrative deadlines and prepare thoroughly for the January 2027 exams.
